I’m a parent to two boys, two dogs, a cat, and a variety of plants (I refuse to count because that knowledge is a dangerous thing). My husband is a computer engineer who uses words that don’t sound like English, but probably are.
Locations
I grew up in southern Louisiana, went to college in Wyoming, married a guy from South Dakota, lived in Michigan for a decade, and now call Colorado my home.

Why Just Ask Jess?
I’ve always been curious.
If there’s a skill out there I can acquire, I’ll throw myself at it until I make it mine. I’ve never been one to back down from a challenge, either. I’ve taught myself how to repair turn-of-the-century plumbing, bake bread at mile high altitudes, create Minecraft servers at the behest of my two boys, and—as you may have guessed—write, edit, and shoot photography.
One day, my mother-in-law said that if she ever had a question about some off-the-wall subject, she knew what to do: just ask Jess.
And thus, Just Ask Jess was born.
